Miracle Tonight

You might be curious why a Jewish girl from Haifa would ever write a song about Christmas …

As a big fan of Hanukkah and the Christmas holidays — which, by the way, are both celebrations of light and miracles on this earth — it was a special treat when this song fell into my hands. Growing up in Israel, I was always surrounded by lights this time of year. The lights of the menorah and the lights of Christmas trees were both on equal display in Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv.

This little jazz tune came from another world with that old jazz sound. Through old Neumans and pre-amps, onto a tape machine with little or no fiddling. I was so glad I was able to achieve this sound and feeling at Blue House in Tulsa with special thanks to Joel Wade.
